City of Dublin ETB Music Centre is a part time music school based in Kylemore College, Ballyfermot. It has been in existence since 1981 and currently has a roster of 30 teachers and 770 Music students most of whom are aged between 6 and 21 years of age. We offer a general music education approach for all beginners. After that, students can diversify through tuition in classical, jazz, popular and traditional as appropriate to the instrument.
The Music Centre facilitates practical and theory exams administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, which is a UK based exam body. Most of our students would do one theory and one practical exam a year. The Music Centre puts a strong focus on performance music education and has a range of ensembles including Classical Strings, Orchestra, String Ensemble, Chamber Music, Guitar Ensemble, Harp Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Recorder Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Junior Choir, Glee Club, Junior Songwriters, Early Music Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Musical Theatre Group and Music Technology Club.
